Camp Homewood offers English and Western riding lessons in a safe and fun environment. These beginner-oriented lessons teach how to ride (walk & trot) using our seasoned horses in our indoor arena as well as taking time to enjoy our many outdoor trails! We have a CHA certified instructor who has a passion for teaching others about these amazing animals.

Haven't ridden a horse before but always wanted to? Have a friend who would like to try?

No experience is required! Classes start with the basics and progress from there.

THINGS TO KNOW

Pick up and Drop Off

Pick up and drop off will be at our Indoor Arena. Once you pass the duck pond, turn right.
Note: Children are not to be left unattended at the arena prior to the beginning of the class.

Covid-19:
Masks at this time are recommended but not required as we will be outside for the majority of the lesson.

What to Bring

Children must wear long pants, closed-toed shoes (eg. boots or runners), & gloves. In cooler weather, a warm jacket and mittens are required.

Covid-19: Our riding lessons will be outdoors. We will be doing a trail ride each lesson and masks are not required. If you would like your participant to wear a mask we will support and encourage them to do so.

What We Provide

Our lessons are geared towards beginners. A portion of the lesson will be in the indoor arena and then enjoying our many outdoor trails! Wonderful, child-friendly horses and proper riding helmets are provided.
Note: All riders must wear helmets in order to participate.

Covid-19: Helmets and high touch surfaces will be sanitized between each lesson.
